This story of faith is one of many from a children’s charity in Mokena Illinois...

A children’s charity organization, called My Joyful Heart, found themselves facing an unexpected setback. They had an upcoming event that provided sport ball gift bags for over 700 impoverished children and they completely ran out of balls. With 100 remaining children to provide for and time running out, the founder of the organization recalled one of the most recognized acts of Jesus. "This is the same as the loaves and the fish,” she passionately told her staff. “We have many to provide for but we have little to offer. God will help us!"

Two days after this strong declaration of faith, the unexpected occurred. The charity organization received a phone call from an unknown woman. The woman revealed that she had once heard about “My Joyful Heart” on a local radio program. She said that she felt an overwhelming push to call and to offer a donation of what she thought was peculiar. With unwavering generosity, she posed a simple question: "Do you need sports balls?" The answer was an emphatic "Yes!" Without hesitation and without knowing how many were needed, the woman arrived later that day with exactly 100 assorted basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, and soccer balls—precisely what was needed to fulfill the charity's shortage for the remaining 100 gift bags!

This remarkable occurrence highlights the profound truth, that when we depend on God's promises, His intervention is assured. This story serves as a reminder to lean on faith and trust in God's supernatural provision, knowing that He is always faithful to provide for His children's needs.

Luke 8:39 - Return to your own house, and show the great things God has done for you. And he went his way, and proclaimed throughout the whole city the great things Jesus had done for him.
