This miraculous story comes from a woman with a serious spinal injury.

For months, I grappled with debilitating pain in my right hip and lower back. I was relying on a cocktail of pain medications just to function. As time went on the pain intensified, it started to become very difficult for me to stand, and a noticeable bulge emerged in my lower back. I knew I couldn't ignore this any longer. Seeking medical attention, I underwent two MRIs, the results of which left me horrified: nine herniated discs, disc protrusion, spinal canal compromise, and a host of other serious issues with ominous implications of potential paralysis. The gravity of the diagnosis sent shockwaves of fear and uncertainty coursing through me. After I composed myself, my doctor wasted no time in referring me to a neurosurgeon. Due to the severity of the issue, she stressed the urgency of scheduling an appointment without delay.

I did as my doctor said and set up an appointment with the Neurosurgeon. The earliest that he could see me was two weeks from now. Faced with this daunting prognosis and what seemed to be an endless waiting period I turned to prayer and enlisted the support of my dear friend Sue, a steadfast prayer warrior. Together, we fervently petitioned God for healing and reached out to our friends for additional prayer support. In the midst of the storm, I clung to the promises of God and the hope that His healing touch would be upon me. Sue suggested visiting a local Christian ministry for additional prayer, and I agreed.

At the ministry, I shared my situation with the ministers, one of whom declared, “We are going to pray to Jesus for your healing but you must have faith that He will do it. Do you have faith that He will heal you?” I answered “I absolutely have faith that He will.” A total of seven ministers began laying their hands on me praying and anointing my head with oil. As one of them began speaking, I felt a strong tingling in my back. I remember trying to contain my excitement but I couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear. I knew at that moment that Jesus had healed me! 

Two days later, the pain and bulging in my hip and lower back were completely gone! While I kept thanking the Lord for His healing, I awaited confirmation from the neurosurgeon at the Neuro-Science Institute due to the severity of the original diagnosis.  I had to wait for 13 long days until the next appointment. I knew the Neurosurgeon would confirm that my back was healed but I didn't want to wait to hear it. So I prayed again. I talked to Jesus and told Him that I was nervous about the appointment and really wanted to get this whole ordeal over with, I could not wait that long, but if I had to; then I had to. I told Him that I was wondering what the doctor would do to me, would she perform another battery of tests on me? Or send me in for another one of those confined MRI scans. I was becoming more & more nervous. I said to the Lord that all I really wanted the Neurosurgeon to say was “I don’t know why you’re here”.

The following day, the doctor's office called with a cancellation, offering me an appointment seven days earlier than scheduled. I eagerly accepted, accompanied by my daughter for support. After the usual inquiries about my pain, the neurosurgeon, bewildered, examined the scans and proclaimed, "I don't see anything on your scans; no herniated discs, no disc protrusions, and no spinal compromise. You are not showing any symptoms whatsoever. When did you say the pain went away?” I replied, "After seven friends prayed for me in Jesus' name, my pain vanished within two days." The neurosurgeon, acknowledging the miraculous healing, remarked, "I don't know why you're here." Those were the exact words I had prayed to Jesus to hear! She concluded by affirming that she saw nothing wrong, declaring my spine normal for my age. Praise Jesus! I will forever sing and testify to His greatness and loving kindness!
