The Origin of 'The Finding Jesus Game'—How a Grandmother’s Faith Inspired a Meaningful Easter Tradition
Ever since my grandchildren were little,
they have been “Finding Jesus” on Easter morning.
It all started when I realized that Easter eggs didn’t have anything to do with Resurrection Sunday.
I still wanted to create a fun and meaningful memory for my grandchildren, so I began hiding pictures of Jesus throughout my home. I told them they had to find Jesus just like the disciples did after they saw the empty tomb.
I would ask, “Where do you think Jesus is?” And so, the search to find Jesus began!
As the years have gone by and my grandchildren have gotten older,
they still ask every Resurrection Sunday, “Are we going to find Jesus?”
Now, it’s a wonderful family tradition!
